What is the First Mile in industrial operations?

The First Mile is the critical operational zone where industrial value is created but least digitized — the mine pit, the forest tract, the offshore platform, the remote distribution hub. It is where paper forms still outnumber smartphones, and where a single lost data point can cascade into millions in compliance failures. eSkuad was built to close the First Mile gap across the Americas, from Canada to Chile.

What is the Shadow Tax?

The Shadow Tax is the hidden monthly cost — running into the thousands — that industrial operations pay in lost data, rework, and compliance failures when field teams rely on paper-based systems instead of real-time digital capture. eSkuad eliminates the Shadow Tax by replacing paper workflows with offline-first digital data capture that syncs automatically.

What is Dashboard Delusion?

Dashboard Delusion is the false sense of operational control executives experience when their BI tools show green metrics while field-level data is still being captured on clipboards, transcribed hours later, and delivered with 24–72 hour lag. eSkuad closes the gap by ensuring First Mile data reaches operations centers in real time — no lag, no surprises.

How does eSkuad work without internet connectivity?

eSkuad uses MagikSync, a local-first background synchronization architecture that stores field data directly on the device when there is no connectivity — in Atacama mines, Patagonian forests, or Canadian tundra. The moment an internet signal is detected, MagikSync syncs all captured data automatically with zero manual intervention and zero data loss.

What is MagikSync?

MagikSync is eSkuad's proprietary local-first synchronization engine. It guarantees that field data captured in zero-connectivity environments — mines, forests, offshore platforms — syncs automatically the moment a signal appears, with zero manual intervention and zero data loss. MagikSync is what makes eSkuad reliable in the harshest First Mile environments across the Americas.

What industries does eSkuad serve?

eSkuad serves industrial field operations across mining, forestry, ports and terminals, energy, aquaculture, and construction. The platform is deployed by leading companies across the Americas — from Canada to Chile — including Boise Cascade, Ultraport, Arauco, CMPC, AGS Tampa, and AGS Manatee Terminal.

How is eSkuad different from a standard mobile form builder?

Standard mobile form builders require connectivity and treat data collection as an isolated task. eSkuad is a First Mile operational platform — it captures, communicates, and orchestrates field workflows end-to-end, with offline-first MagikSync technology, automated compliance reporting, and real-time visibility for operations managers.

Who founded eSkuad?

eSkuad was founded by Max Echeverría, an EB-1A engineer and entrepreneur who led Innovation at the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad de Concepción, mentored and worked with Georgia Tech, and built his expertise through programs including Techstars, Google for Startups, and The Roux Institute at Northeastern University. With 15+ years of experience in industrial field operations across the Americas, Max built eSkuad to solve the First Mile problem he witnessed firsthand — field teams losing critical operational data to paper forms, WhatsApp voice memos, and midnight spreadsheets.
